Making Money Online Methods: Dominating Pay Per Click

Friday, August 29th, 2008

After five “Google Slaps” in the past several years of Pay Per Click Advertizing it’s come time to separate the men from the boys. Gone are the days when someone could just throw 1,000 keywords into an Adwords campaign without thinking and turn a profit. Try that today and you’ll find your keywords will be deactivated. That’s for the lucky one. For the unlucky ones, they’ll be activated, but burning a hole in your wallet because the bid prices are through the roof.

It’s times like these when the weak marketers will either drop out of the race, and the good marketers will adjust, stay in the game and make even more money. Which kind of marketer will you be?

That all depends on how much you are willing to learn and adjust to what Google Adwords wants from your website and your campaigns.

I’m going to share two simple tips with you today that will help your campaigns succeed in a “post Google slap” era.

To understand why this first tip works so well we need to understand the reasoning behind the Google Slap.

Google is an advertizing company. They make money when people think they have good ads that are worth a click. Google wants do weed out spam and other website that add nothing to the user experience. They are looking to fill their ads with only legitimate companies.

Here is a simple way to help Google view your site as a legitimate business and reward you with a higher quality score and lower click costs:

  1. Add business pages.

If you simply add pages to your site such as “Terms and Conditions”, “About Us” and “Privacy Policy” you will see dramatic improvement in your quality score. Even more important to the equation is making sure you have a “Contact Us” page which includes your email address and ideally a phone number too.

I know it seems simple to add these pages to your site but you’ll be amazed at how dramatically it will improve the profitability of your Adwords campaign.

  1. Add and XML sitemap.

One other simple tip is to add an XML sitemap to your site. An XML map is simply a directory of the content on your site making it easier for Google to find out what it’s all about. Any programmer can install such a map for you for a very modest fee and yet this tweak can lower your bid costs up to 35%!

Keep learning about what Google wants from your site with tips like these and you’ll always be ahead of the curve.

For my complete internet marketing system that will have you earning 10K per month on autopilot with as little as 20 days of work put your name and email in the form above.

Make Money Online Easily: How to Dominate Pay Per Click (Adwords)

Friday, August 29th, 2008

Almost anyone who has ever been involved in Pay Per Click advertizing has a few hairs stand up on the back of their neck when the words “Google Slap” are uttered. The Google slap (there were actually five of them) was a change in the way Google ranked the quality of your ads and your landing pages which caused prices on most people’s keywords to skyrocket effectively putting them out of business.

But notice I said “most” people. There are some marketers who actually get a little giddy when they hear those words. These are the marketers who knew what Google was looking for, so when the slaps h happened their advertizing costs stayed the same and their competition was suddenly knocked out of the race.

I’m about to share with you two of the secrets of these few and lucky “enlightened” marketers that you can implement right now to bring back the days of low click costs and easy money.

Both of these techniques involve making some changes to your “landing page”. The landing page is the place where your prospects are taken immediately after clicking on your ad.

  1. Content: The first thing you need to ask yourself is if you are sending your prospects to a page that provides value. If you are only sending your prospects to a squeeze page that just asks people to opt-in you need to stop doing that right away. Don’t misunderstand me. I’m not saying you need to stop asking people to opt-in to your mailing list on your website. I’m saying that can’t be the ONLY thing happening on your site. Those days are over. Google wants sites that provide content and value to their customers.

So before you do anything else, make sure you have at least 4-5 pages on content on your website. This should be content related to your offer and of course, you can weave the sales pitch into the content at the end. This won’t hurt, but will actually help your sales because you are building trust with your prospects.

  1. Keyword Density: Try to ensure that the keywords related to your market are showing up at about 3 times for every 100 words throughout those five pages of content (3% keyword density). If it’s higher than that Google will think you’re trying to manipulate the system. If it’s lower than that they’ll think your site is irrelevant.

Enjoy these tips and reap the great benefits they provide to your bottom line.
