Finding the right niche in which to start your business is a difficult but very rewarding journey.
Once you’ve found it, your business will be on the right track and the rest is technicalities. The first thing you need to do is to approach the process with the right perspective.
Before you start worrying about competition and keywords and all that other stuff you’ll first need to ask yourself: what business do I want to be in?
Remember that you’re not just looking for a niche, but a business and a business that you hope you’ll be in for a long time. So make sure you sit down and answer a few questions of yourself such as:
In what markets do YOU like to buy products?
What are you good at?
What do you enjoy?
What sort of people would you most like to help.
Finding the right niche involves looking outside at what’s selling, but it also involves looking inside yourself first to determine what sort of business will fit your personality and lifestyle.
So take out a pen and paper and literally start writing down answers to these questions.
